GRAND CANYON TOURS. The hardest part to take a Grand Canyon tour is the decision to visit the South Rim or West Rim. Both are great destinations. Therefore, in order to break this tie, I'll do a quick comparison hoop ring to make sure it is linked to the place that is best for you.

The West beyond the edge of things to do. It is the only place where you can ride a helicopter 4,000 feet to the base. So if you're so inclined, you can walk upstream and rafting the Colorado River.

The world-famous Grand Canyon Skywalk is here. This attraction is a magnificent engineering glass bridge that allows you to walk 70 feet beyond the edge, since it suspended 4,000 meters above river. Do not look down if you are prone to vertigo.

More exotic activities here include a helicopter ride to a cattle ranch, horseback road ATV, Hummer off-road adventures and horseback riding. One of my favorite things to do on the western edge is the Hoover Dam soft water rafting to Willow Beach.

The South Rim is tame compared to the West Coast. What it lacks "emotions" makes up for in natural beauty. This is the part of the National Park rangers even referred to as the "real" canyon.

No helicopter rides to the bottom at the South Rim. If you want to reach the base, you have to walk. That said, air tours here are excellent. The helicopter ride from Tusayan goes directly to the heart of the Dragon Corridor, the widest, deepest part of the canyon, while air travel to cover the South East, North and tires.

There is also the last day of a trip to Grand Canyon rafting which runs from April to November. The options include taking a bus or plane to Page, AZ, and move on to a raft. This is a journey without water problems so there fast. Children ages four and up are welcome.

The South Rim trails are awesome. Bright Angel, South Kaibab and up the trails are the most popular ass. From the lookout, go to Mather Point, Yaki Point and Hopi Point. Most trips include tours to points of interest.

Where is your starting point?

The western border is only 120 miles from Las Vegas. Helicopters, airplanes, buses, and can make the trip in 45 minutes, 25 minutes and 2.5 hours, respectively. South Basin is far from Las Vegas helicopters. Your only option is by plane or bus.

I recommend you take the flight of 45 minutes by plane from Las Vegas to South Rim. It's fast, comfortable, and one of the best deals on the market. The bus is inexpensive, but one-way driving time is 5.5 hours total travel time is a whopping 15 hours.

Phoenix and Sedona travelers can drive to the South Rim in 4 hours and 2 hours respectively. There are regular bus, airplane, helicopter trips and premises, but it's cheaper to drive back and do an aerial tour from Grand Canyon Airport in Tusayan.

How long to you?

West Tours ass of Las Vegas are perfect day trips. The longest tour is a full day. Air-tours are only about four hours, including hotel pick up and return. South Canyon earth ass bus has a minimum of 15 hours, so I cheerlead for the tour plane, and you back on the Strip instead of the reserves of the night. Trips originating in northern Arizona are full day trips. I often tell people to try to book a room at the park and spend the night. Easier said than done, because accommodation Park are usually reserved a year in advance.

What is your budget?

South Rim and West Rim bus trips are cheaper and include lots of accessories such as river rafting Skywalk tickets and helicopter rides. Air Tours are more expensive, but also see more canyon in less time. I believe that what you see on a helicopter ride of 30 minutes is equal to a couple of days on the ground. In addition to the aerial views are incredible.
